Idris has over 25 years of experience in the assurance and financial advisory services sector in the UK and Kuwait and in the commercial sector where he has worked as a finance director of a listed company in the UK.
In Kuwait he manages the Assurance, Business Advisory Services and Tax departments and is part of the MENA regional technical team. He is involved with almost all of the clients in the office and handles some of the office’s key relationships and performs the role of Quality assurance on all large and listed clients.
As the Business Advisory partner, he has advised clients on mergers, acquisitions and disposals of businesses, liquidations, drafting of business plans, internal reorganizations, advising on inheritance issues, the development of succession plans, preparing feasibility studies as well as business valuations for various purposes. He has specialist  sector knowledge of Healthcare, Education and PPP/Infrastructure as well as the Technology sector.
He has over the years worked in Spain, Australia, Singapore and Russia and has experience of working with different nationalities under differing legal jurisdictions utilizing differing business practices. He has a deep understanding of business and their real operations as well as an expert knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and accounting including their theory and practical applications.
